Crystal Chicks: A Flea Market Journey of Healing, Advocacy, and Growth
Crystal Chicks began as more than just a business—it was a lifeline during a time of profound healing. Founded by a mother and daughter navigating their first year of trauma recovery, the flea market-based business became a space for connection, purpose, and renewal. With each weekend spent setting up their booth, Jennifer and Olivia found themselves rewiring their neuropathways, shifting from survival mode to a place of stability, creativity, and empowerment.
Selling crystals, artisan goods, and inspirational items like pins and buttons, Crystal Chicks quickly became more than just a marketplace stall. It became a platform for advocacy, where they raised awareness and collected donations for Healing Through Hope—a nonprofit dedicated to holistic healing. At the same time, they championed the Healing Through Hope Recovery Residence Program, a trauma- and addiction-focused residence designed to offer individuals a structured path to recovery.
The flea market environment allowed them to engage with the community in a unique way—breaking stigma, sharing stories of resilience, and building a network of support. The simple act of setting up their booth, meeting people, and discussing the deeper meaning behind their offerings created an atmosphere of hope and empowerment for both them and their customers.
Where is Crystal Chicks now?
While still representing at flea market booths, Crystal Chicks has evolved into something even more meaningful. It now serves as the artisan booth within the Healing Through Hope Community Outreach & Recovery Center (CORC)—not only continuing its mission of advocacy and awareness but also providing an income stream to support ongoing healing efforts.
What started as a flea market-based business has grown into a symbol of transformation—a reminder that healing is not just about recovery, but about rebuilding a life filled with purpose, connection, and hope.
